
Stakeholder Engagement Plan - August 2025
The Federal Ministry of Health, Somalia, with support from the World Bank, is implementing the Damal Caafimaad Project (P178876) to improve access to essential health and nutrition services.
As part of the Additional Financing, the following updated Environmental and Social documents are disclosed in line with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF):
• Updated Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) – August 2025

These documents outline stakeholder consultation processes, grievance redress mechanisms, and the Government’s commitments to managing environmental and social risks under the Additional Financing.
The Ministry of Health remains committed to ensuring transparency and meaningful engagement with all stakeholders throughout project implementation.

Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) for the Damal Caafimaad Project – Second Additional Financing
The Federal Republic of Somalia (the Recipient) will implement the Additional Financing for the Improving Healthcare Services in Somalia Project (the Project, or the Damal Caafimaad Project), with the involvement of the Ministry of Health (MoH) as set out in the Financing Agreement, the GCF Grant Agreement and the GFF Grant Agreement. The International Development Association (the Association), has agreed to provide financing for the Project, as set out in the referred agreement.
